Gentle Restorative Yoga

Gentle / Restorative Yoga Classes

This class is ideal for students of all levels who are looking for a relaxing and gentle practice. The class will bring you through various Asana (postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises) and Yoga Nidra (guided deep relaxation).

During each session, you will use bolsters, straps, blocks and blankets to help you feel comfortable within each pose, helping you get a deeper opening in places that tend to store tension, such as back, neck, shoulders, eyes and feet. You will surely feel refreshed, restored and younger. This is an excellent class for people recovering from illness, injury, or stress and in the process of healing.

Specific issues appropriate for Gentle / Restorative Yoga include:

  • Problems with Focus and Attention
Structural Issues
  • Back or neck pain or strain
  • Muscle, ligament, or tendon strains in any area of the body

  • Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease and other neurological issues
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
  • Asthma and other Respiratory health issues
  • Digestive issues, including colitis and Irritable Bowel Syndrome
